The Nokia N900 takes its cues from the world of desktop computing. Its operating system is open source, Linux-based Maemo software that delivers a PC-like experience on a handset-sized device. With its Maemo 5 software, the Nokia N900 allows users to have dozens of application windows open and running simultaneously while taking full advantage of the device’s cellular features, WVGA touch screen and QWERTY keyboard.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled “Blue Earth.” Designed to symbolize a flat, well-rounded shiny pebble, Blue Earth is the first solar powered full-touch screen phone. Dell has delivered an update for its Latitude XT2 convertible tablet. Multitouch capabilities on the Latitude XT2 allow users to use natural gestures such as a pinch or tap for scrolling, panning, rotating and zooming that work with productivity applications they use every day.

Samsung Electronics has introduced five new LCD monitors with touch screens ranging from 81cm (32 inch) to 208cm (82 inch). These new LCD monitors in the TSn Series were developed mainly for the display of information.
